Description
The basement sump pump discharge pipe runs under the front lawn and ends next to sidewalk. Discharged water pools on a sidewalk, creating a slip and fall hazard.
Suggested actions:
Immediately - have the resident dig a shallow channel/furrow between the sidewalk and the street to prevent pooling of water.
Within next two weeks have him/her extend the discharge pipe under the sidewalk to discharge water directly into the street's gutter.
