Description
Noise complaint: ice cream truck repeatedly parking on street blaring music for an hour at a time. This is excessive and unnecessary. Go sell your crap elsewhere or turn that music off if you're going to be in one spot longer than a minute.

A few years ago, after years of complaints, and demands for regulation, these vans -- supposedly independent traders, but all controlled by a small number of distributors -- were made to quiet down. But, you are right, this year they have been getting louder and louder, and hanging around longer.
Another important issue. We all complain that our few remaining "corner shops" do little more that sell liquor. Who remembers when, before ice cream vans, pop and snacks machines in schools, the corner shop was mostly an after school, candy and soda (and maybe a few healthy snacks) shop?
Corner shops - having a permanent address -- pay their fair share of taxes!
