Description

The 800 block of Hilldale Avenue (West facing side of street) has one parking sign, located at the no-parking transition point, which is obscured because of two causes. Firstly, the sign is mounted towards only one direction with a 90° angle towards the curb, out of ordinance with USDOT regulations lacking required duplicate signage to be facing both opposite direction "back-toback" allowing drivers to reasonably locate the traffic control device. Secondly, while turning from Dicks Street onto the 800 block of Hilldale Avenue a residential construction fence causes the parking sign to be completely obscured from the view of drivers.
The 800 block of Hilldale Avenue, located on the West facing side of the street, restricts parking 7 days per week and 24 hours each day except for 4 hours on Wednesday. Additionally the obscured parking sign has caused the vehicles of several drivers to be ticketed and even often towed.
