I would also just like to add that this is a frequent occurrence with many businesses on Park street as well. Many of them operate very loud and heavy machinery at odd hours of the night that can be heard as far away as Pearl and Central, like the carpet cleaners who were cleaning the carpet at La Penca Azul at like 4 in the morning the other night. I could hear the loud machine they were using to clean it all the way from inside my apartment located about 5 blocks away, with all my double pane windows closed tightly. Unfortunately APD ignores every noise complaint that anyone ever files on this island indefinitely and never, ever cites violators as part of their new "enforce no laws whatsoever" policy, so we are all left to suffer endless noise with no recourse whatsoever.

Code Enforcement cases are responded to based on a priority schedule set by the Alameda City Council. Cases involving health and life safety are the highest priority.
