Worse than the people cutting the corner to avoid this stop sign is all the traffic taking Masonboro Sound road from the other end to bypass this stop sign all together. Masonboro Sound Rd. is not designed for all the traffic it is seeing now. And the constant traffic noise level is becomming unbearable.

This intersection needs a stoplight and the speed limit on Masonboro Sound Rd should be reduced to deter this shortcut.

There are some mornings that it takes me 15 minutes to get through this intersection after dropping my son off at Parsley. It has been nice having an officer directing traffic to get out of the school, only to have this congestion at the end of the road. Maybe a second officer could be placed at the intersection of Masonboro Loop Road and Pinegrove?

In 2004 the State dot received money for the fix of Masonboroloop rd and Masonborosound rd. Then the properities were developed and the City of Wilminngton was to fix intersection. I E-Mail our city council and they tell me next yearit will be done. Masonboroloop rd was repaved and about 300 feet at the intersection was left undone. Simple fix put additional stop signs on Masonborosound rd. When school in open traffic is really bad.Masonboroloop rd is the main road .

Problem still continues, no patrol cars in the area, cars continue to parade around the stop sign holding up all the people that abide by the law. It will only worsen when school starts.

Problem is worse than ever, the wait is now longer with more people cutting around thestop sign; no patrol cars to be seen. As this worsens, traffic on Masonboro Sound Rd increases.

Problem is worse than ever, still no partol cars or citations. I took Masonboro Sound Rd and found this route is quicker but there is heavy traffic on this road. Looks like everyone else has discovered this as well. An easy fix would be to simply move the stop sign from Masonboro Rd to MAsonboro Sound Rd. This is so simple I don't understand why they don't do it.

Work is in progress at this intersection. Not sure what they are doing but hopefully it will resolve the traffic problems associated with this intersection.
