From what I have seen, it's the liquor store workers that haul their trash to that shared dumpster in the parking lot and leave a trail of trash. I've submitted tickets with concerns over trash from Fernandez Bros. Liquor AND their delivery trucks. All of their trash ends up in my front yard. After several tickets, nothing really gets done... ISD only gives Fernandez Bros. a talk and nothing else. I'm just sick of getting their trash onto my property and having zero luck getting anything change.

This seems to happen with alot of properties and different ISD/city violations. The city indicates warning, tickets, etc are sent and the issue closes. Can the city do follow up work until the problems are fixed, or does the city need to reevaluate some city workers doing different work or city procedures for follow-up work?

Agree! Especially with Chelsea being an up and coming town, is this how we want to represent ourself?

Nothing, I wonder if the business were even notified (probably not). As usual Nothing will be done about trash in the area from the businesses.

This is an area that is monitored by ISD. The City does do something about businesses that are not in compliance with our Codes, and we issue fines when required. In the Downtown area specifically, the City has a new dedicated Downtown Task Force of 4 police officers, a health inspector and a building inspector that meets each Tues. afternoon at the Police Station to discuss problem properties in the Downtown. I will ensure that this property is specifically discussed at the meeting on Tues. May 24.

I apologize. Next meeting is Tues. May 30. In the meantime, I will have ISD again inspect.
