The seam in the whole highway is bad. Whenever you choose to fix this, the far left lane and the far right lane are the only good lanes to be in as you're travelling So. I believe the seam in over the 8th or 9th So. bridge.

I spoke with our maintenance station supervisor over that area and they are aware of the pothole. They are keeping an eye on it and filling it continually until a permanent repair can be made in the early fall. Thank you for letting us know.

Filling in "the early fall"? ??? Can't we do better than that? I drive this road everyday with thousands of other Utah drivers and we're all bumping over this horrible seam. C'mon UDOT, you're better than this -- I thought...

I agree. I just drove over it this morning. Again. It's damaging our cars for no reason. Can't udot close half the lanes every night when the traffic thins and fix it properly? We've seen I-80 E close and i-215sb ramp close for an entire weekend. I'm sure we can all survive lane closures late at night to have this issue fixed.

I was told when I phoned that the 8th So. bridge was due for an overhaul. In the interim it is being given a dose of asphalt to tide everyone over until Fall. It is still awful.
