The town should remove the signs if you inform them of the problem as they should not be there in the first place. First of all signs should not be placed in the the sight line and the town traffic department should know this. Second there are probably zoning laws against placing signs without a permit.
As far as a traffic light is concerened I think that is the jurisdiction of the state as route 100 (North High Street) is a state road.

I agree the sign issue and also bushes and shrub enforcement is lacking in East Haven. Many intersections have no visibility of traffic from other way. There are Laws, we need enforcement!
