Description

I have lived at 6632 111 st in O'Brien Lake, since October of 2012. I have attached pictures of what I am dealing with.

The sump pump runs constantly at our house. Being that the snow has NEVER been removed from in front of my house the water has backed up and will continue to back up into my basement unless my husband or I are out there at least twice a day using a 14 pound crow bar and shovel to get rid of the giant ice pile so water can get out onto the street. There are HUGE boulders of ice and a massive swimming pool in front of the sump pump hose going into the street.

This has been a battle with the city since the previous owners moved in 6 years ago and NOTHING has been done. I am now the new owner and this is absolutely unacceptable. I have 2 girls ages 1 and 2 and there are many other children in this cul de sac as well. They cannot walk on the sidewalk, the street etc. The entire area is covered with ice.

This is also now the 2nd week that my garbage has not been picked up due to my recycling being too close (well, where am I supposed to put it???) and this week my guess is the truck could not drive over the massive ice mountain at the bottom of my driveway.

Something needs to be done about this immediately and a one time fix is ok. The problem needs to be solved. Please contact me ASAP regarding this horrifying issue. My husband and I work full time and like I said, have 2 children, I DO NOT have time for this headache.
