Chief Holloway has asked me to respond directly to you regarding concerns of speeding on Sunshine Skyway Lane South. The information you provided was forwarded to Community Service Sergeant Patricia Houston.
Sergeant Houston reported that she assigned Officer Rulison to address the matter. Officer Rulison conducted several Directed Patrols in this area to monitor traffic. During these Directed Patrols, Officer Rulison reported that the highest speed was 20 MPH. Officer Rulison will continue to occasionally monitor this area for speeding. Additionally, Officer Rulison made the department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit aware of the complaint.
