Two temporary crosswalk lines were just painted here crossing speedy Airport Blvd right at the entrance to Bayside Fields. The lines are not visible at all to drivers. No pedestrian warning signs. No advance signs coming around the curve.

Also how are people in wheelchairs or strollers supposed to use this 'crosswalk'?

City staff met with Caltrans staff on Thursday, July 27 at the Broadway Interchange Project construction meeting. Burlingame staff inquired about the temporary crosswalk by Bayside Park and Caltrans indicated they were hoping to get the pedestrian overcrossing open by the day of the construction meeting (7/27) so the temporary crosswalk could be removed. However, it looks like it won’t be open until late this week. Since the overcrossing is set to reopen this week, Caltrans did not think they would be adding any additional signage since the temporary crosswalk will be removed in a matter of days. A City inspector will be going out to the site today to check on the progress and confirm the timing of the opening of the pedestrian overcrossing. We will provide another update after today's site visit.

Update: City staff has confirmed the pedestrian overcrossing is now open and Caltrans will be removing the temporary crosswalk.
