Description

Redfield residents look forward to the scheduled street repavings. They are necessary. Thanks.

Redfield Road at Redfield Ridge has long had a drainage problem, but the problem worsened last year after a water main beneath the intersection failed. The pavement was broken by the leaking water, and the post-repair paving was shoddy.

Water--and when it rains, A LOT of water--travels all the way down CDR from above Harris Circle, diverts left (west) into Redfield, and drains into a storm sewer that is west of this intersection. That bad design probably can't be corrected, however, the water now pools badly in this area. The photo shows this pooling just from lawn irrigation overspray. The storm water pooling leaves mud and silt behind.

Before--or while--we go to the expense of repaving, can we PLEASE properly regrade the road so that water runoff makes it to the storm sewers? Not doing so will shorten the lifespan of the repairs, and it makes a mess.

Thank you.
