Description

A hedge approximately 6 ft high grows very close to the public sidewalks on both Brimley Rd. and Brimorton Dr. at the south-east corner of this intersection. This condition has prevailed for many many years. A traffic light controls the intersection, however a clear line-of-sight view to the south on Brimley is not possible by west bound Brimorton traffic, particularly those wanting to make a right turn-on-red, because of the high and poorly located hedge. I have been a resident in this neighbourhood for many years and the hedge has existed in this location for as long as I have known. It has grown, however, to such a hight as to make this intersection dangerous in my opinion. It is quite likely that the hedge is properly located relative to the street / property lines, but if it were shorter, westbound drivers on Brimorton would be able to see over the hedge as a result of improved sight lines.
