This is pretty sad for people who enjoy using this public park area. I realize that the city crews have plenty of issues with staffing as well as those who think we should allow anyone to do anything if they just declare themselves "homeless." Isn't it ironic that our wealthier local communities which have resources to help people in need don't seem to have much of this problem while Vallejo is becoming a prime area? Where are they in Napa Valley? [We know the answer but at some point this is going to have to be honestly discussed and ferret out the people who are NOT in genuine need but using this as an opportunity to drift about, beg, and shoot dope as they please.. while using up resources intended for people who are actually in desperate need.]

CSS has one part-time and three full-time employees who are responsible for addressing all quality of life concerns, supporting Neighborhood Watch groups, and working with the Neighborhood Law Program and Code Enforcement to address distressed and dangerous properties. We work hard to investigate each report in a timely manner, and will continue to investigate this report as soon as we possibly can.
