Valentina Dr. needs Speed Bumps badly! We should not have to get a petition from neighbors as other locations in the city are getting speed bumps and speed signs without doing a petition. Speeding on this street is typical and on going. There are children playing in this neighborhood.
Valentina Dr. and Mark by Little Sisters of the Poor are once again being subjected to week daily big, heavy city trucks traveling up to the new housing development area. Last summer we suffered dust and noise and extra traffic from the building of Jefferson School and the development area above Mark. I personally was hoping for a more peaceful summer, without all the extra noise and traffic. I would like to see Verdi drive share in all this extra "construction" traffic. A new city road needs to be opened up across from this new housing development near the make shift ball park across the street. Its unfair for Mark, Valentina and portions of Mossman Ave. to bear this constant burden. These city trucks are also not doing our roads any good, due to the weight. I see these trucks go up and down the street all day long, back and forth! Why can't some of them, like the bucket trucks STAY on the job instead of going back and forth several times daily? It's more understandable when the dump trucks go back and forth. I probably also just answered my own question about why Valentina Dr. might not get speed bumps because it would make it less convenient for the city trucks to travel on our street. I will compliment the city truck drivers on going slowly down our streets. Thank you
