Description

**3RD REPORT WITH NO PREVIOUS ACTION TAKEN** Holes dug on February 22, 2017 to connect to water main still remain after more than 3 1/2 months. Previously reported by myself and another only to be arbitrarily closed by COH with no action taken:

https://seeclickfix.com/issues/3257765

https://seeclickfix.com/issues/3300501

In addition to the inherent danger of six foot holes directly adjacent to the sidewalk and street, these holes have now significantly eroded over the past 3 1/2 months to the point that it is only a matter of time before the sidewalk collapses. The holes also retain water for weeks after rain creating large mosquito pools, not to mention the general nuisance of having these holes and piles of mud directly in front of my property.

The builder, Covey Creek Builders, blamed COH. The COH PWE inspector who I was finally able to speak with blamed the builder and said process should take only 2-3 days. Further attempts to get the builder/property owner to remedy the issue have gone ignored.

COH is just as culpable for allowing these builders to invade our neighborhoods, tear up streets and property, constantly spread trash throughout the area, and disrupt and inconvenience with total disregard for the community.

Litigation is being pursued against the builder, Covey Creek Builders, and the property owners. It may also include COH as a party as well for the willful, documented failure and disregard in performing their duties and responsibilities in overseeing these builders to ensure they maintain and adhere to safety standards and code and do not put the public at risk.
