I agree. As a longtime resident of A St, I can't count the number of times there have been accidents in that same spot. It's a dangerous place to cross to go down A St. It's also dangerous because traffic coming rte 126 south sometimes drifts over the yellow line as they are coming around the curve in the road and even if you are waiting to turn down A St. You come close to being hit head on . Something definitely has to be done

Another serious heads-on accident happened AGAIN today (12/12/17) on this exact location. Something needs to be done fast. Especially how close it is to the high school.

There was also another accident this morning (12/14) in that same spot. There is way too much traffic that takes A St as a short cut because they don't want to sit at the lights at School St. Traffic has greatly increased on A St . Compounded by the usual school traffic. The accidents at the end of the street and the fact that residents have difficulty trying to get in and out of they're driveways. Also no one adheres to the speed limit signs and very few drivers ever obey the stop sign at the end of the street.

There is a Capital Roadway Project, scheduled to be bid in 2018 and constructed in 2018 and 2019, that will begin at the intersection of Concord Street at OCP and end at the intersection of the new traffic signals at Concord Street / School Street / A Street. As part of this project, the intersection of Concord Street at A Street (south) will under go geometric improvements.
