Description
For two locations: And I don't know if this is a sign issue or a road issue:
First, the speed limit on Sunrise Dr between Valley Rd and Day Road should be 30 MPH and not 35 as it is currently. The speed limit on Sunrise, north of Day Rd, is 30 MPH. This stretch of Sunrise is narrow, has no shoulder, has many many walkers, and feeds into the Rolling Bay intersection that desperately needs some speed control.
Second, the speed limit going east on Valley, heading into the Rolling Bay intersection should be reduced to 25 MPH much sooner than just as you get to the Jiffy Mart. Coming down the hill from North Madison lends to the problem but if people were forced to slow down sooner, perhaps it would help the speeding through Rolling Bay.
Thank You!

Sunrise Drive: The City conducted a traffic study at locations where we numerous non-motorized users had expressed concerns a couple of years ago. One of the results of this study was lowering the speed limit on Sunrise Drive from 35mph to 30mph north of Day road. Following the new Island-wide maximum speed limit of 35mph the City is planning to evaluate additional 35mph posted streets to see if is appropriate to lower the speed limit to 30mph. Sunrise Drive between Valley and Day has been identified as one of the streets for study.
Valley Road: The City recently conducted a traffic study at this location. The 25mph zone was extended further out from Rolling Bay. The experts concluded that the current configuration is optimal to ensure that drivers do not speed in the town center of Rolling Bay. The City has no plans for further study at this time.
