Description
The Parker Street bridge over Route 9 is in pretty rough shape. So many small potholes that it's almost like off-road driving.

The entire stretch of Rt. 9 in Newton is an embarrassing danger to all travelers in / out of Boston, especially with the Brookline stretch so beautifully paved last year.
Shame on all responsible. Truly the most horrific road, some stretches near the atrium mall and east surpassing unpaved ditches!
Truly appalling. Politicians, i wish you could take note.

Thanks for the update, Philip.
Is this a particular hazard for pedestrians or cyclists? Someone from a group like Livable Streets Boston might be interested in the issue, if you forwarded it to them.
Other than that I'd recommend forwarding this link to your neighbors and elected officials.
In New Haven we just had a major issue with 252 "votes to fix" and the city passed unanimous legislation to address it.

How about a bike lane here?
"The principal trend that emerges from the papers reviewed here is that clearly-marked, bike-specific facilities (i.e. cycle tracks at roundabouts, bike routes, bike lanes, and bike paths) were consistently shown to provide improved safety for cyclists compared to on-road cycling with traffic or off-road with pedestrians and other users. Marked bike lanes and bike routes were found to reduce injury or crash rates by about half compared to unmodified roadways."
