what!! the complaint was not about a lawful sign, but yet another poorly planned and maintained crosswalk in "Dunwoody".

When? This crossing site is commonly used by visitors to the park and because of a MARTA stop It is dangerous

Funding to construct the sidewalk on Peeler and a crossing to the park has been requested in the 2020 budget. The budget requests will be reviewed by the city council over the next two months.

It’s been over 2 years ago since we requested a pedestrian crossing at this location. We do not need a sidewalk. Surely the budget can handle painting a crosswalk at this intersection? Surely there city has access to pedestrian crossing signs?

Adding a crosswalk necessitates having a sidewalk to connect to on the other side of the road in order to properly address Americans with Disability Act requirements. The crosswalk will be installed when the sidewalk is constructed. The City Council will be considering funding for the sidewalk project in the 2020 budget at its October meetings.

So no sidewalk, no crosswalk and you ripped out my geese crossing sign just in time to have another group of migrating geese killed by the cars flying down N Shallowford.

The City Council has approved the Peeler Road sidewalk and crosswalk in the 2020 budget. The city is acquiring easements and coordinating with utilities in preparation for construction next year.

Ok it’s 2020. When can we expect crosswalk?

Bids will be solicited for the sidewalk project this month.

It’s been 6 weeks and no sign of crosswalk

As stated above the crosswalks are part of the bigger Peeler Road sidewalk project. You may have noticed that the contractor has begin work on the project. The project is expected to take 6 to 8 months with the crosswalks being installed towards the end after the road is re-saved.

I’m sorry to be impatient but I’ve been asking for this for last 8 yrs; 3 years on this site

It appears the sidewalks have been completed, though there are still many adjacent sections that have not been sodded. The mulch will invariably breakdown and invite uncontrolled weeds. When can we expect the sod to be laid on the remaining sections? When too will Peeler Rd. be repaved? The long sections of broken road between the sidewalk and travel lanes has sharp edges and is dangerous for both motorists and people on bikes. This project has (unfortunately) been horribly mis-managed and has taken WAY too long. A real problem for the residents and for those who routinely travel this route.

I agree with Jim’s recent post. Peeler Rd needs to be fully repaved and sidewalks finished/ and or/cleaned up
