Description

In late April, the DPW cut down a large old tree on a triangular piece of city-owned property at the end of Colonial Drive adjacent to Granite Street (presumably due to limb interference with utility wires on an adjacent Granite Street utility pole). After cutting down the tree, the DPW trucked away some but not all of the large tree limbs, and also left behind a substantial pile of tree debris. Two phone calls to the DPW were placed - one in mid-May, another in mid-June, to inquire when the remaining debris will be removed. The calls were not returned. The debris pile presents a hazard to neighborhood children who've been seen playing on it, and it is also an eyesore. If you could please let us know when this debris will be removed, we would be very grateful. Thank you.
