Gainesville Fire Rescue has received this concern. This is likely not fire department hose and may be in use by a contractor in the area. We will post our findings upon completing an inquiry.

GFR has investigated this concern and determined that this is a private contractor's set-up with a locked flow meter on it so no one can come turn it on. No further action is required.

The issue reported has been resolved by the City of Gainesville and this service request is now closed. GFR has determined this is owned by a private contractor and has a flow lock on it that would prevent someone from turning it on.
