Description

HERE WE GO AGAIN! ANOTHER EXERCISE IN FUTILITY!
DOT definition: Light Capital Paving, also known as a maintenance surface treatment is typically the application of a 5/8" nominal overlay, used as a holding action on unbuilt roads. Greenfield Rd. is scheduled for LCP this summer, a far cry from what's bigly needed for one of the most dangerous roads, highly traveled by big trucks and heavy daily traffic. This is one of the worst roads in Maine. By next spring, Greenfield rd. will be as bad as it is now & always has been, because the State of Maine, refuses to properly build & maintain this Rd., ALWAYS fixing it on the cheap! The DOT and the State don't care about the damage this road does to our vehicles or the unsafe conditions daily drivers face year around. I'm sick and tired of our excessive tax dollars not being used as intended, while the local mechanics stay in business, constantly repairing the front ends & suspensions of our road damaged vehicles. I think a long overdue, class action lawsuit against the State is in order, for the continually unsafe & dangerous condition of Greenfield Rd. The State & DOT should be held accountable for more than a 5/8 inch patch job every 3-4 years. As resident taxpayers, we're being ripped off & enough is ENOUGH!
