Description
I live on Thomas Street. Apparently, the street was originally paved in the 60s. The street reportedly has never been repaved, only patched. The street is badly in need of repaving.
The road condition is so bad, whole sections of it ends up in the grass and plants on the edge of my yard -- up to several feet in, when the trucks plow snow. The street is very challenging to drive, especially the part between Thomas Circle and Donna Rd.

Thanks Stephen, Raymond, Mark, and the anonymous commentor for leaving comments and (I assume) voting.
Someone else posted about Thomas Street over the weekend and Marcy posted the following comment:
"Please keep in mind that Road Reconstruction/repaving request go to your ward councilor. The ward councilor for your area is Anne Beauregard (Ward 5) and her contact number is 1(774)-297-4939. Thank you."
I spoke with Ms. Beauregard earlier this year and she mentioned working with other councilors on securing funding. Not sure where that stands with other cuts to the city's budget. Either way, if you haven't contacted Councilor Beauregard, please do and please ask others to. Thank you.

Hello everyone. I've had a few email exchanges Councilor Beauregard since last week. She gave me permission to share she wrote:
"I have been working on this since I spoke with you. I am working with the city council attorney to try to change the law on streets, I am trying to get a meeting with the state senator and a US senator to get infrastructure funding and also meeting with Old Colony Planning Council which handles infrastructure to find some funding (anywhere) to move this along. It is very time consuming and to many it probably seems like I am doing nothing.
Meanwhile more than one of your neighbors has contacted me about his concern. One called me the other day and I have not called him back yet (two days ago) and he posted something on facebook. A gentleman named Jason Cox. I will continue to keep you posted and have a brief segment to keep people updated on the local community access where I mentioned about the project with the roads. I am by no means giving up.
Sorry these things take forever.
If I was not such a pest to these people it would go on for years. One of the councilors calculated that if he would have to be in office for 200 years to get all the streets in his ward alone done. This current way is not working and that is why I am trying to change it."

When I asked her what the current law was, she replied:
"I am working on getting a home rule petition for changing our streets (like yours) from private to public. After that I am working with elected officials to get funding to further this along. I realize that your see click fix will probably bring people from the DPW to do the "quick fix" I am trying to get this to not only do the quick fix but repair it like it needs to be. I will continue to pursue this issue believe me."
