Description
The traffic light at Dunwoody Club and Mt Vernon and Saffron needs to have the timing adjusted. The light for eastbound traffic on Dunwoody Club is too short for the volume of traffic. Sometimes that light is green for Dunwoody Club literally only 1-2 seconds, only enough time for one car to go through. There often is a long line of cars waiting at that light and it can take multiple cycles before a car can get through, meanwhile Mt. Vernon has a green light with no cars going by. Please adjust the timing so that Dunwoody Club has green a bit longer and Mt. Vernon a bit shorter. Thank you

We have checked this signal at multiple times of day and it appears to be operating properly. The Dunwoody Club Drive side gets a minimum of 5 seconds of green time when it comes on and extends based on how many vehicles are detected. The maximum green time is between 20 and 35 seconds based on time of day. We understand that there are certain times of day where it may take more than one cycle to get through but this is a function of total peak demand in the area. If serious problems are seen please let us know when and be more specific than "all times of day" we will check the demand to determine what maximum times are needed to optimize traffic at the entire intersection on an hourly basis.
