Good luck trying to get rid of them...again. Maybe if they were hanging out by a nice downtown restaurant or the new St Pete One, we'd have better luck.

We work closely with various City departments and local social service providers to address issues faced by our homeless population, and we also work with neighborhood associations to address the concerns they have, as well. Our Police Department has a Street Outreach Team that actively canvasses areas where the activities of the homeless are noticed, and they will continue doing so to ensure the safety of all citizens. Please immediately report any criminal activity or safety concerns to the SPPD directly by calling 727-893-7780 if not an emergency, or 911 if an emergency. Thank you.

Thank you for referring this issue to us. We have referred this to our Police Department and asked them to send officers to this location to offer their assistance to the people staying there. We have also asked our homeless street outreach team to visit this location to offer their assistance as well. Thank you.

Thank you! Perhaps the city could distribute this information to the neighborhoods that are continually affected by this growing problem so that we have a place to call and get help for those that need it. The homeless moving from place to place as they are pushed to yet another area is NOT working. The city utility bill seems like a good place to distribute these types of available city and resident services.

We are working hard to help our homeless citizens get off the street and connected to services/housing. This month we are implementing a new initiative, Rapid Rehousing, in concert with Pinellas County, to help our most vulnerable citizens get rapidly rehoused. Many of the people you have reported to us will qualify for assistance from this program. I am hopeful this initiative will be an effective tool in addressing homelessness in our community.

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.

If you think for any reason that the issue you submitted in the past might still be unresolved, please feel free to submit a new report with the SeeClickFix St. Pete website and we will make sure the issue is directed to the appropriate City department to be addressed as soon as possible.
