Description

213 Brooks The abandoned house next to mine at 208 is in direct violation of the Blight Ordinance on many levels. Blight Ordinance 8.76.020 lines 1-6. It has been on Fire 3 times the last 2 years. Has dwellers that constantly break into it conducting illegal activity including Drug Use inside and outside both night and day. I have 3 teenage children and 1 (2) year old and (1) 6 month old who can't even go outside as 1 individual has already exposed himself in broad day light to my 14 year old daughter his genitalia. The house has been boarded up numerous times only to have them return again. Also it is depreciating the value of our homes in the area not to mention all the health violations from urine and feces around. I strongly urge and beg the city and Mayor Ganim to please help me and my family as well as the residence that reside on Brooks and Artic Street who suffer everyday. It is worse now in the summer as they smoke crack and other narcotics all day on the porch out front with disregard to the safety and health of my children. My fear is one will harm my children or endanger them. Please help us with this matter I have asked several times for attention to this matter and would like the city to please knock down the already decaying building.
