Yes, we're all paying WM for it. We just got our WM rates just jack-up big time again. This is the third big increase in a few years. WM is a monopoly.

There needs to a complete audit of WM and the City of Oakland in how trash and illegal dumping is being handled or in most cases not. There are residents and business's in Oakland that do not have any trash service. The green can on the street that is full trash is now a code enforcement 238-3381 issue which it will take even longer to get resolved. Our elected officials are inept and dysfunctional and most dept heads follow that lead. WM is more of a cartel.

David, Our rates are jack-up because there are no controls or oversight in place. Their new "Toy" trucks are now hydrogen powered. It's very expensive fuel and at half the range of the diesel engines all at our expense. Moreover, the residents now have 3 carts for sorting. In other words, we are paying more and doing more work. Just look at their stock price. They are trading at their high at $74.00 per share.

When Wm got the city trash service and illegal dumping deal the landfill prices jumped way up. What a great scam on us.
