When is the city going to put out that stuff that kills mosquito larva in the catch basins? Usually it's done when they do street sweeping, but it's very evident that it hasn't been done at all this year. You cannot go into your back yard without being eaten alive, and I'm talking about in the middle of the day with the sun beaming down, not dawn or dusk. Me and my neighbors try to keep on top of any standing water but we need the city to do its' part.

As reported, we are diligent about removing standing water. Our properties abut Kimberly Field and the heavy vegetation along the perimeter is a breeding ground. As far as wearing appropriate clothing, it's mid-July, and prevailing temperatures are not conducive to being covered up head to toe in the middle of the day.
Is there an ETA of the DEEP permit? Late July to early August is ambiguous, and West Nile has already been discovered in West Haven which is a few blocks away.
