I agree with OFFREF I see no one working there and the lights are offset with the exit to 91 and curtis so either fix the stupid road or fix the lights or do both.

WTF are they waiting for. It's starting to get tiring sitting in traffic 10-15 minutes longer, especially when no progress is being made.

I haven't seen any change in over 3 weeks. Nothing. No workers, no equipment, just a hole in the median.

You would think that a major road as 91 is, especially the stretch that intersects with an even bigger road (the freeway) that they would expedite this process. What a nightmare this has become!

I gave up on 91 long ago. The road is a nightmare. Nobody ever goes the speed limit, and now with the construction it'll take at least 20-30 minutes to get from Lakeshore to Euclid Ave.

I'm glad that construction is going slowly on Rt/ 91 and only 6 hours a day. It's too hot in the afternoon and overnight leads to too many workers being too exhausted to enjoy their families the next day...signed

I commend the Eastlake Police Department for attempting to assist in getting rush hour traffic through this circus of " Alleged " construction. Please, fellow drivers, be extra careful, the officers are a big help and vulnerable in the middle of the intersections. ODOT officials and especially the contractor should be embarrassed and never forgotten for this ridiculous process. You have manged to screw up an entire region for seasons. You'll never live it down.

stop complaining. you complain when the roads are bad, then complain when they aren't fixed right away. some people have nothing better to do then be inconvienced and complain. now you got me complaining about complainers. ahhhhhh.

In all reality, they (ODOT) tells us when projects are going to start and end yet everytime we act like we are caught off guard and our life is ruined because of being tied of in traffic/have to go a different route. Try to see the good in this people, this project will eventually be completed and we will have improved roads...until we find something wrong with it later.....

You have obviously been affected by diesel fumes while stuck in the quagmire created by this circus act of Alleged construction. Yes you have to break a few eggs to get to the omelette, but not the whole dozen. This is a ridiculous and DANGEROUS method PERIOD !!! It's not a side street it's a STATE ROUTE, an ARTERY to a hospital !!!

Are you kidding me with the traffic light sequence at Curtis Blvd and 91? It is totally unnecessary for north and south 91 traffic to be backed up each way WATCHING NOBODY GOING EAST OR WEST ON CURTIS !!! Make an adjustment and alleviate a huge, dangerous and ridiculous nightmare. Come on PAY ATTENTION OUT THERE !!! If it were your neighborhood it wouldn't be so f up Alleged !!!

Actually, they put a police officer at the 91-Curtis intersection today, and traffic was MUCH better this morning. Kudos to Eastlake for FINALLY figuring it out.

I agree! WTF??? RT 2's westbound off ramp has been finished for some time now. Yet, still has orange barrels blocking it from use. The workers use it as their parking lot for the trucks. Also, if there is anybody out there working, it looks as though 8 people are standing around a shovel/broom/hole in the concrete, discussing what to do with said item, or else, everyone is on perpetual break-time, standing around chatting. Hey, I want that job! I bet it pays more than my nursing wages.

i live off Lost Nation and travel to and from to Warrensville Hts for work everyday. EVERY road and highway I travel to and from has some type of construction. I would love to know who the ODOT & County Engineers are who schedule these projects ALL at the same time. I wonder if they get a kickback from the oil companies for all the gas that is wasted when we are sitting in their construction zones not to mention the wear & tear on our automobiles. My 25-30 minute commute has turned into at least 1 hour, this morning almost 2 hrs due to "the accident that was bound to happen at the 90/271 split. I can hardly wait until they close the westbound ramp next Monday morning!! Maybe the 271 Express lanes will be open by then but then again NOT!

Everyone ready for Willoughby to start construction on Rt. 91 on Monday!?? I can't wait!

It amazes me how this is taking so long to do.

This same company can rip apart and rebuild an entire freeway from 91 to Erie, but they can't get a 500 foot long strip of road on 91 done in the same amount of time.

It makes no sense. With the Lost Nation East on ramp now closed till THE MIDDLE of 2011, I'll have to leave 40 minutes earlier to battle it out on 91 or backtrack all the way to 306, which is also under construction. Going the other way 305 is a disaster, and unless I want to get shot in Euclid, those are the only options

They are open, but good luck getting on them in a resonable amount of time. The backflow on 305 is terrible, and 306 isn't any better.

Nothing but complainers. Be happy that they are improving the roads to begin with. Otherwise you would be complaining about how bad they are. So what if we are inconvienced for a short time, deal with it.

What would be smart of them is to shut down 91 entirely from Euclid Ave to the rt2 entrance/exit. They could get a lot of work done in a short time because they won't have to worry about working around cars coming 50mph at them and would be able to work on more than one lane at a time. They took this philosophy with repaving the express lanes and they completed that in no time.

Main route for emergency services though Cardy. People would die.

I agree, Freebird! they should work through the night. They get paid well and the heat wouldn't be as difficult to deal with, increasing productivity.

to but: if the 91 exit is closed, as it is right now, how the heck do you think an ambulance is going to barge through the barrels to get to 91? They manage to find a suitable way around. Thus, people won't die and cardy's suggestion is still plausible.

Besides, I contend that dropping 91 to one lane, even for a short distance as it is now, is worse because cars cannot get over to let emergency vehicles pass even if they wanted to.
