All the crosswalks on Main need repainting. At Main & George, Main & Hancock Street (plus a crosswalk across Hancock Street) especially. There is a walk light at Hancock Street but even when it is on "walk" and the lights are red, cars routinely ignore the red light and drive right through the crosswalk and also take a left or right on red when people trying to cross Main & Hancock Street.
NBQ,
The St. Clement neighborhood has been trying for years, yes years, to get a crosswalk painted in a school/church intersection. The crosswalks aren't faded, they no longer exist. No response what so ever from the City of Medford. I hope you have better luck. I suggest you don't hold your breath.
The crosswalks at Main and George are not at all visible, haven't been in almost 2 years. If Medford cannot afford to repaint these maybe they can reach out to Tufts University and see if they can pay for and/or coordinate the repainting of the sidewalks within a reasonable walking distance of the university.
