Can we laugh together ? these 2 drivers met at San Jose and Broadway , both vehicle will be total Loss , this intersection has been very notorious for accident in the past , as a matter of fact Resident requested a traffic light for decades as they were getting sick of getting the tree mowed by the car accident , never mind packing up the injured until the paramedic arrive , this is a Major intersection serving 3 schools and yes kid have been dodging traffic to cross and very much still do today , the excuses from Caltrans and City hall are quite simply ridiculous : " It will interfere with traffic flow " Wait isn't the purpose of traffic light to allow for cross traffic , should you care the first traffic signal , invented in San Francisco is on display at the traffic Dept FYI

4 Traffic light to save lives or someone DMV record that is too expensive .
However the City of Oakland , Alameda and yes Caltrans have installed not 4 , not 8 , not 16 , not 20 , not 24 , not 28 , BUT YES 30 Traffic light off Park Bridge and Kennedy as part of their improvement to top it all , all equipped with traffic camera , not to handle the bridge Boat traffic as only 2 would be enough but in every direction , Ladies and Gentlemen be ready to open your wallet for red light violation.....
Let's talk speed in the street of Alameda , we are all being told the speed is within the percentile , and I totally Agree , the way the speed is collected is via the billboard trailer the size of a compact car , reminding you that you are speeding , everyone slam on the brakes {it's like Christmas} only to accelerate once past it , however there is a memory in that Display , it is that memory they use to tell you how many vehicle and at what speed they travel , So accurate it would make Al Capone a Saint , but wait wasn't He a Saint compare to the insurance industry.
Aren't you tired to repay for pavement , then lower the speed for truck above a certain weigh to 20 MPH , Do the test , at the most they will spend 3minutes more , traveling at 70 which I have done years ago , stopping at all red light save you 1.1/2 minute between the bridge and south shore ...Do the test with a police Cruiser , should I be wrong by more than 10 % I will cook BBQ for the whole station ....
There is a technology to track the speed extremely accurately , it is a transmitter embedded in the pavement which you can more to a different location , You can by the comfort of your office know in real time the speed ad traffic flow , that is if you care to know . That would be embarrassing to release data you do not want the public to know , the beauty of such system , it can be hooked up to time the traffic light , to set up the City own camera light which mean no more kick back to an out of State Co .
As far as traffic light is concern I recommend everyone to file a law suit in small claim court , let see 1200 parents on behalf of their kids for the maximum allowed .
