A notice has been sent to the property owner to remedy this situation.

I am still concerned and wondering why the owner of the property on the corner of Jefferson and Washington has not been required to reduce the height of their privet hedge to the code specifications. If I am incorrect on this requirement please let me know. I thought the height of the privet hedge in the front of the house, from the corner Forward had to be 30 to 36 inches. It’s important on this corner. Twice last week I was driving down Washington taking a right hand turn onto Jefferson. Cars coming down Jefferson (to stop at the stop sign) couldn’t see me. I was in the middle of the turn and had to come to a complete stop because the cars coming down Jefferson were a little too close to the center which they have to be because of the snow )another issue because the city is not pushing snow back far enough and Jefferson is too narrow, turning Jefferson into a one lane road). If I had someone close behind me on Washington I would have been rear ended. The cars on Jefferson have to be able to see cars on Washington. They have to be able to see cars turning right onto Jefferson. I am holding the homeowner and the city at fault in this regard. The same thing also happens on the corner of nursery and Washington where the homeowner has been allowed to have a hedge more than 6 tall for years.
I shouldn’t have to explain the danger that it causes when we cannot see oncoming traffic. I shouldn’t have to have this problem on SeeClickFix for months unresolved. The city should hold everyone fairly to the code. It seems as if the code is applied to some and not to others. If this is not the case then I would like to be able to safely turn from Washington onto Jefferson and be able to see oncoming traffic because that hedge would be cut back to the required code and will be maintained there in the future.

Well spring is about to start. My issue has been open since July. When SeeClickFix first started it was a wonderful way to communicate with the city and have issues taken care of quickly. This one seems to be stuck in the mud with very little communication, only once, from Mr. Perry. I am putting this comment on here to ask for a response and a resolution.
Looks like the name of this app should be changed to
seeclickwait Too bad really. I thought the city was taking a good step forward What’s the problem?
