Description
A suggestion. I saw the new speed sign on Snowden today. I recently saw a post regarding the average speed recorded by the sign. It would be very interesting to know the average speed of traffic with the speed sign showing the car speed to the driver, and average speed without the display active to warn drivers. Without the display would give you a better indication of the average speed.

Thank you for your suggestion, however this practice has already been used several times for the radar speed signs. Due to the speeding complaints in the area by residents, the Traffic Safety Unit feels the sign would have a bigger impact as a speed reducing tool utilizing the speed display mode in the absence of a police officer conducting radar enforcement.
