Description
The is a significant upheaval of the sidewalk on the south side of Archer Road between the DNA (Helyx) Bridge and Shands/UF Neurosurgery Hospital. The sidewalk defect presents a danger to pedestrians and cyclists, and it's doubtful anyone in a wheelchair could even pass, given the degree of damage to the concrete surface. This has been present for almost 2 weeks. A barricade is present with signage directing citizens to go around, but nothing has been done to repair this dangerous sidewalk as of yet. This also raises a second question: when will the Kermit Sigmon Trail be restored in front of Shands, now that building construction is completed for the new megahospital?
