Description
On a daily basis the teenagers who play basketball at Ogden falls park leave excessive trash on the ground. There is a trash can right next to the basketball court that I've never seen half full. Along with trash these teenagers have no regard for the young children playing at the park using loud profanity over and over. I think it would benefit the entire community to replace the basketball hoop with something a little more kid friendly

I personally would not agree with having the courts removed - maybe relocated if that is a possibility but not eliminated. The design is bad with having the court so close to the play area but it is used constantly by the kids in the area. I've seen the trash left and heard the language but I've also seen the majority of the kids that are playing basketball here behaving.
The trash in this photo is worst than usual due to the party in the park that was hosted last night by the park district. I attended and unfortunately it wasn't just the teens playing ball that couldn't place their trash into the trash cans.
I would like to see some additional police presence in the area to perhaps assist with some of the bad behaviors near the park from those that blow the stop signs, allow their dogs off leash in the park, and to visit with the kids and perhaps speak to them to help build a relationship with the kids. There are a handful of older teenage kids in the Ogden Falls and Highlands that have been terrorizing a few neighbors and perhaps it would redirect their behavior with more of a police presence.
