I agree that unstable persons should not be camping or lurking near children and especially their parks. I think linking this article (regarding something that happened in North Berkeley) unfairly implies that the guy on Hudson committed this offense. That said, I'm a disabled senior who visits Hardy Dog Park with my small dog many times each week & I'm very leery of the man.

I attended the NCPC meeting in June and spoke both to Patricia Rose and our new beat cop, Officer Mac. They are both aware of the situation, which was new at the time. more than a month has gone by and nothing as been done. Maybe other folks want to contact her too. This is making the park feel unsafe.

Not fixed! He simply relocated half a block to Claremont Ave under the freeway. Still living next the Hardy Park for children.

Does anyone have the email for Officer Mac? The previous CRO, Officer Hutzol, was able to provide some useful info, and at least ran background checks on the folks out there. City Hall seems to be confusing trying to help homeless people with letting them do whatever they want, where ever they want. Elected officials: You won't be elected much longer if you don't address this issue!

This guy is smarter than the City which merely inconveniences him by forcing him to relocate by moving half a block off Claremont to Hudson then he returns to Claremont. Rinse and repeat at will. This guy has been an issue for literally MONTHS. Hardy Dog park users have been threatened and they reported it several times. Frog Park users have reported it many times. The casual car pool users were the most recent on his list...

Officer Mac was at the site on Wednesday when the guy was moved, he said they were awaiting a mental health specialist but I do not know if anyone ever arrived, and then officer Mac had to depart.
