What's also on the University Ave side of that building is rat poison boxes. The crow could well have tasted a dead rat & died from the poison. I contacted the City's Toxics Dept several months ago about this, & they replied that they don't use rat poison, but they have no control over the separate empire of the School District.
The District needs to stop using rat poison NOW. It's a terrible environment-wide hazard, & dead rats often poison cats, dogs, raccoons, possums, hawks, & other meat-eating birds.
