Description

The new Orgain Ready Mix plant on Hampton Station Road is running concrete trucks in and out night and day, servicing the Hemlock site. I understand this is important work. However, the trucks have literally destroyed the edge of the roadway at the entrance to the concrete plant. There are large areas of sunken and broken asphalt, as well as a LARGE area of gravel, which has been dragged out by the trucks. These things have made driving past the plant quite a chore, if there is a vehicle coming in the other lane. Hopefully, nobody has to try and brake when passing the plant, because the gravel is so deep, it prevents traction of any kind at anywhere near the speed limit. Neither the District 1 County Commissioner nor the County Mayor's Office seem to be bothered by this, as contacting each of them has been a dead end. Who will be liable when a vehicle is damaged due to the problems with the roadway??? Let's get it fixed!
