How do we remove this from the ordinance? Im sure the neighborhood will agree. It seems petty that we will not allow kids to leave their basketball hoop on the swale. This seems like a major waste of BSO's time.

With regard to the inquiry about the City ordinance:
The City Commission addressed a resident request to allow portable basketball hoops to permanently remain in city swales last year. The existing ordinance does not allow the placement of basketball hoops and other such items within the public right-of-way on a permanent basis. The Recreation Advisory Board was asked to review a proposed ordinance change and made the recommendation to the Commission to not make any changes to the current ordinance. The City Commission agreed to leave the ordinance as is. If you have questions please contact BSO Code Enforcement at 954-436-7335.
