My husband Kevin and I live at 9 Orchard Street, and we are concerned about the state of the sidewalks in this neighborhood. The walks along the eastern side of Crescent Street are in especially bad shape. The whole stretch between # 42 and # 78 is uneven and cracked and has gotten even worse since the gas department put in new lines. This is a very popular route for both walkers and joggers heading to Highland Park, and the surface is quite dangerous. In addition, the walk in front of our house, beginning at 9 Orchard and continuing north on both sides of Orchard Street, is full of bumps and cracks.
