How can anyone possibly speed on Bradford Avenue, when there's a stop sign at every corner?

And what do you mean "The police can't prevent speeding"? Don't you mean "the police won't target known areas"?

Number one the state tells township police like west goshen or borough/ city police (West chester and philly) no radar but state police can use them . Instead the local police get vascar and its basicly a computer program that takes a known distance and a push of a button and based on the time between the two button pushes and the distance entered they get your speeders. its not practicle to have in the borough so ur argument is void there. and b4 u say i dont know wc ur dead wrong ive live around and in town my whole life. and fyi im almost willing to say there has already been more than one tradgety there. they need stop lights not sogns cause wc stop signs get hidden easily

I live off Bradford ave.. like the previous comment.. how can cops prevent ppl from speeding.. and how can ppl speed when theres a STOP SIGN less than 100 yards apart? LIGHT.STOP SIGN ON CHESNUT/BRADFORD.. GAY/BRADFORD.. MARKET/BRADFORD.. MINER N BRADFORD.. PRICE/BRADFORD.. WHAT ARE U TALKING ABOUT? SPEEDING FROM SIGN TO SIGN?

There are 2 four-way intersections between Miner and Price Sts. With no stop signs. Cars can get up to quite a speed from Miner to Price . I have seen it.

On Bradford Ave. there are no Stop signs going south at Union Or Dean sts. so cars can and do exceed the 25MPH speed limit.

Thanks for the info. The block I am interested in is going south from Miner St. to Price. It adjoins the park and has 2 four way intersections. People go way more than 25mph..Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Please include South Bradford Ave, too. Can barely exit my driveway without a speeder almost hitting me.

yeah right. I guess people really rev up the SUVs speeding between stop signs. They must have forumula one race cars or drag racers to get any speed up between all the worthless 4-way stop signs in West Chester.

What, do you want a stop sign at every road that intersects Bradford ave.? OMG, there are so many stop signs already. I never heard of someone wanting "stop signs" to keep people from speeding. Speeding should be enforced by cops with radar,etc, not turning the entire area into a herky-jerky, stop/start, stop/start throughway.

45yrWCresident -- Speeding should be enforced by cops with radar? Are cops with radar able to sit on one particular road everyday? Obviously you don't live on this road, or just like to speed on it. Sorry you are inconvenienced by so many stop signs. There is an elementary school off of Bradford, homes, driveways, a park - gee, no, we don't need stop signs. Of course, we wouldn't need stop signs if people actually obeyed the speed limit, but they don't. My part of Bradford is 35mph and people routinely go well over that (which I notice as I an waiting for my daughter's bus - which I anticipate will be hit one day by a speeder coming down the hill). Don't like all the stop signs, then drive on another road.

that small stretch of road would be hard to speed on. there is a stop sign at Price street and another one at the bottom of the hill, and on each side street until it reaches rt. 322. I'd say six stop signs in a 1/2 mile. These through-streets shouldn't have so many stop signs as they cause traffic delays, more smog and litter on the streets and just wears out your breaks for nothing. this is people wanting to live in a nanny state when they live off a throughway they can't expect the traffic to act like a dead-end street. you should move to one if you want that type of environment.

There is a reason the town puts up signs saying 25 MPH and it should be observed. Just follow the laws.
