It will not be long before our parks will get over run with encampments unless the City will get an enforcement policy and/or a long term solution to the homeless encampments.

We can not walk down the sidewalk to get to the park to use it! For three years the City has prioritizedthe "rights" of the homeless living on our streets and in our parks over the rights of homeowners who pay taxes and have the right to expect clean safe streets, sidewalks, and parks. I've been hitting my head on this wall for too long. When will tax payers take a stand? If I wanted to sell my house, who would buy it with a homeless encampment for doors away?

Julie, On my 23rd Street Block, I reported that a homeless encampment to the City beginning of this year and still nothing has been done. Just yesterday, a homeless person was sleeping on my private property. Because of the encampments, it's very difficult to find good tenants willing to live here. The Feds, State, and Oakland are going to lose tax revenues. It's of little wonder nobody has any money. If and when you ever sell your house, you are not going to get market value. All the government agencies involved will going to lose tax revenues. Again everybody is going to lose.
