Originally, the developer that owned the land was going to put in a road connecting Schoolhouse directly to Blessing, so he could subdivide his property and sell off lots. He even in good faith donated right-of-way for the roundabout. Then the Town went back on itself and decided not to let him build the road.
Eventually, something will go in there. It would be a great place for a Stewart's! (just kidding)

On the online maps it looks like it could have easily been connected to Maher Road. I think it would make more sense than having to drive all the way through the excruciatingly slow speed limit 30 stretch of Blessing Road.
Hopefully, this could still be accomplished in the near future to modernize the area for the incredible amount of traffic through that entire area.
