This is the same response that I received on speeding on Shaw. They tell you to take it up with the advisory board. I really do not understand the purpose of this app if you are just not going to do anything about the issues except send them to a committee.

There was a sign of no trucks during school hours at the intersection of Howard and shaw but it was taken down. Something needs to be done for the safety of our kids that walk to school. Specially in the winter there are a lot of cars accidents happening very often and the trucks have a hard time going up the hill never mind down hill they don't respect the speed limits and use their engine to brake. Commercial vehicles should not be allow on howard street for everyone safety and again is a safety matter for our kids and residents. I raise this concern up to the town 3 years ago after a car lost control going down hill in the snow and crash into my house which could of kill my kids if they were outside in the driveway. I hope they do something about it.

I totally agree something needs to be done. Not just for the trucks but some cars are driving up and down this street at sometimes twice the speed limit. Maybe if they pulled people over for speeding they would eventually get the hint.

Thank you for reporting this concern. The Mayor's office has recommended this request for further review by our Traffic Advisory & Safety Committee (TASC). This committee has representatives from departments including our engineering team and the police. They will offer recommendations to the Mayor's office after reviewing.

Thank you Andrew, we hope the safety committee does something about it sooner than later as the kids are going back to school in a couple of weeks.

Has the traffic advisory provide any recommendation? The school started already and there are a lot of kids walking to school and crossing the street and the trucks keep driving through at all times, I am concern about our kids safety.

Does anyone know what was the outcome of the meeting in the 19th regarding the trucks. The trucks are not even respecting the school hours.

The Traffic Advisory Safety Committee has recommended to post one of the new “Townwide” 25MPH signs once the State Law has been adopted by the Town. The Mayor’s office has assigned this to the appropriate department to complete.
