Description
The tall grass south of our driveway needs to be routinely mowed so that we can see to get out of our driveway. It is in the city right of way between the road and the ditch. The city mows the bike path area on the other side of the road and will occasionally do our side if we call but only then. In the meantime my 80 year old husband is trying to maintain it and this is an accident waiting to happen. Thank you.

Ms. Blair,
Can you please tell me your property address. The pin on the map gave an address that doesn't have houses near it.
Thank you.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of acres, of grass that the City owns between the edge of the road and the front of the abutting private property. Municipalities do not mow these areas. Whoever owns the land that abuts this area is free to mow it if they choose.
As you drive up and down Dorset you'll notice swales on each side of the street. Some property owners maintain this area right up to the road, others choose to let it be in its natural state.
