Hi,
I live in 91 Beech St. apt #24 in Kearny.
My problem with this building and the management is huge.
First of all, I live on the second floor,I have been begging our landlord to solve mice and mouse issue that I am having since four months. They never cared.Everytime i asked they did not even respond. They sent our super 3 weeks later to put 2 sticky trap papers in the kitchen and the living room.I have a kid in the house,he is 13 years old.It is not sanitary and scary , I dont want to see mouse walking in my living room at 11 o'clock at night.Even though our super told them that mouses had made holes in few different areas in the kitchen to get in. For example,under the sink,behind the oven and behind the refrigerator. The management did not do anything. I emailed,left messages,voice and text ,nothing changed since 4 months.
Our building is filthy , very dirty. I attached two pictures,one is belong to my apartment and the other is our garbage room.
Now, because i couldnt pay rent for 2 months they will lock my apartment door tomorrow, and they just notice me right now at 2pm. I couldnt work for 6 weeks because of health problem and they know it.I have been living in the building since 2010 now , they are ignoring me just like they did with the mouse situation 4 months.They dont take care of the tenants but they have no problem collecting money.
Now i do not know what to do ,I will be locked out tomorrow , i asked them to give me little bit time so i can move out, just 2 weeks.They dont respond.
I hope City of Kearny wont let them get away with this.
We have no security in the building,super doesnt take out the trash at correct days so he leaves back and front door open so it wont smell in the building,which makes it worse.There are small children and babies in the building,the doors should be always closed.
The management promised us for security cameras months ago because there are always stealing going on in the building. People are stealing mail boxes, gift boxes...
So please address those issues. Thank you in advance.
