sink hole developing needs to be repaired
@concerns: Bob Knox and his crew at the DPW are doing what they can with the resources available to them. The issue of Malden's roads is broader than just potholes, and the city is aware of the problem. Lack of revenue to effect repairs is one of the primary challenges - over the past decade less and less money has come from the state to the towns for infrastructure needs, while costs have risen.
I would encourage you to speak with the mayor's office, your city councillor, or Ryan O'Malley (who has made the offer to followup with you) to gain a further understanding of the issue. It's important for all of us on SeeClickFix to keep pressure on the city to address this issue - and trust me I'm as frustrated about it as you are - but Bob Knox is not the obstacle you're making him out to be. I've spoken with him several times about this issue, and Bob would also like to find a solution to the problem.
Good point, the ridesharing tax should be used as a source of revenue for road repairs. The fee is 20 cents per trip, with half of that (10 cents) earmarked for local cities and towns. I'm not sure how much in total this generates, but every bit helps.
