Those who live in nearby cities & towns, also see how Salem has changed - & it's not for the better.
We were just questioned about this again this past weekend.
" actually take Salem in a meaningful direction" .... WELL SAID.
Thank you.

WHERE 'IS" Salem going? WHERE is SALEM?
The current direction is not 'up', nor is it for the good of the people of Salem.
Time for folks to open their eyes to what IS actually happening here.
And, then to do something about it.
Voices & votes 'speak'.

It's time these issues & residents' concerns no longer be ignored.
It is a service request. What Salem residents are getting is disservice.
We all lose re what is happening to a city which was once a special place to live.

The sign on the post office railing is also what we Salem residents want to see:
"This is government property. No trespassing."
Our guess is that this is to keep folks from loitering on the steps.
More of the same as Salem becomes just another city without direction, nor a sense of a true resident-friendly community.

If this is a fundraising issues (?!), then why did the Sunday Globe (on 8/20/17), have their lead story in the North Shore Metro section, discussing the homeless problem in Salem? Complete with photographs & residents' comments?
This IS a service request from the residents of Salem.
Tourism thrives at the expense of this city as a residential community.

Take a minute & look back/review the myriad issues & problems continually being reported on ClickFix .... for months & months & months. How many are actually ever resolved?
And what has Salem become?
Is this city no more than a tourist la-la land? Keep them happy, & let the rest of us 'eat cake'?
Salem has big city problems which are only getting worse.
A 'pat on the head' isn't going to get it.
Salem has changed, & not for the better -- sorry to say.
