Descrizione
Second time in three years that the house at 230 Nicoll street on the corner was hit by a car as a result of an automobile accident. The accident occurred later at night. Had it been earlier it could have been much worse.
Stop sign was taken out of the ground, as well as significant damage to the houses' porch and fencing.
It appears a two way stop is not enough. Highly travelled area with foot traffic makes this corner a continued concern.

I lived at this intersection for more than a decade and now live a couple blocks away; I'm still there all the time.
The other day, riding as the passenger in a car, heading south on Nicoll Street, we were stopped waiting to drive through and I suddenly thought (and said to the person driving the car I was in), "You know, if they simply removed all the street parking from the block between Nicoll and Foster, this intersection could be a LOT safer."
The driver -- a very cautious, reasonable sort -- said, "This is completely true."
For years we were people who parked our car on Willow Street there. Eventually we started parking our car elsewhere. How many cars park regularly on that block of Willow? Is this an easy to achieve partial fix to this chronic and serious problem? I GET THAT PEOPLE LIKE THEIR FREE STREET PARKING but at what larger cost? Can the city please consider this?
